Simply fantastic! A lovely roomy and very comfortable cottage. Everything you could possibly need was there and it was all immaculately clean!
Owners live on site and were very helpful and friendly. Not only did they provide driving directions, we were also given the most scenic route, that was well worth the drive.
In addition I also awoke to the most beautiful bunch of roses, on the step, for my birthday. A very lovely, thoughtful gift, thank you!!

A perfect little cottage for two. Very comfortable - particularly the massive bed. Well equipped with plenty of towels, toiletries, blankets and kitchen equipment. Plus a well stocked welcome hamper. Owners and other family members very welcoming. Well placed for visiting Hadrian's wall, Kielder, North East coast. Scenery locally is amazing. Ponteland with supermarket and places to eat a short drive away.

What a fabulous week! Gorgeous cottage, comfy and cosy and well located. Out and about we adored Cragside, a fabulous arts and crafts house with amazing grounds. Kielder is a lovely spot, peaceful and great for walking.Wallington and Belay both well worth a visit. Holy Island is a must, if only for the drive across the causeway, but do check the tides! Do we really have to go home??

The Cabinetmaker's Suite was a lovely base from whihc to visit some beautiful and interesting places, in this wonderful part of the country. The boat trip to the Farne Islands was amazing and Cragside needs more than one day! Wallington Hall is a real gem and right next door. The house is fascinating and the gardens a sea of colour. You have furnished, equipped and decorated the Suite to a high standard and the bed was amazing!! Thank you so much.

For weary grandparents needing a quiet break, this is just the pace. We have lots fo cottage holidays and this is one of the best! We felt relaxed immediately here - so cosy and excellently furnished. There is lots to see within a short drive - Rothbury, Morpeth, Ponteland, Belsay Castle, Wallington Hall and Hexham. Sarah and Jason are excellent hosts - always friendly and helpful and we leave hoping we meet again.

Thanks, Sarah, so much for looking after us so well! This place is lovely - everything catered for. Loved the cabinet making and joinery! Enjoyed your woodland walk too - especially in the eveing mist. We love coming back to Northumberland as often as we can. Wallington and Cragside fantastic with really friendly staff. A trip up the Ingram valley was lovely too. Alas not enough time to go to the coast this time. But there's always another time. Thanks again!

We have had a great stay at Shieldhall whihc has been an excellent base for expolring on our first visit to Northumberland. For the two fo us, we found the cottage was clean, spacious and had everything we needed. Furthermore, our hosts were very nice. If you go to the coast, we would recommend the Boathouse at Amble but consoder booking especially if you eat inside. Great stay.
